TOWN - N - GOWN
Purpose Statement
Town-N-Gown is an independent, informal association of men and women dedicated to developing a mutual understanding between Old Dominion University and the various civilian and military communities of Greater Hampton Roads.
Membership is open to all, and dues are $25 (single or double, same address) per year. Town-N-Gown provides an opportunity for area citizens and military neighbors to join the academic community for many diverse activities.
The organization is composed of townspeople (TOWN), military personnel (“N” for national defense forces), and university personnel (GOWN). Town-N-Gown, by presenting programs and organizing joint activities, offers its members the opportunity to increase their awareness of and appreciation for the total community with its many assets.

Oct 20 (Mon) Presidents' Reception by Invitation only, TNG members RSVP
Oct 21 (Tue) RYAN Resilience Lab (4610 Colley Ave) guided tour 10-11am. Please RSVP if you plan to attend to townngown@yahoo.com or 757-839-1883 by Oct 19. Afterward, we will all gather at the Starving Artist Cafe (4408 Colley Ave for lunch at your cost)

Oct 25 (Sat) Homecoming - ODU plays App State
Oct 28 Madrigal Singer, et al Fall Concert
Nov 11 (Tue) Town-N-Gown Board Meeting @ Webb Center
Nov 19 (Wed) Naval Station Norfolk Bus tour @10:30 - 11:30am (Sign up early - cost is $22 @ https://navalstationbustours.com/). Located at 9079 Hampton Blvd. Then gather for lunch at Mike's Pizza, an Italian/Greek restaurant (8218 Hampton Blvd), at your own cost.

Town-N-Gown members are always welcome at the board meetings as well as attending any associated scheduled tours. We will normally invite ODU professionals to make a presentation just after the scheduled monthly
board meeting. Plan to be there at 11:00am to hear the speaker.
