TOWN - N - GOWN
Purpose Statement
ā
Town-N-Gown is an independent, informal association of men and women dedicated to developing a mutual understanding between Old Dominion University and the various civilian and military communities of Greater Hampton Roads.
Membership is open to all, and dues are $25 (single or double, same address) per year. Town-N-Gown provides an opportunity for area citizens and military neighbors to join the academic community for many diverse activities.
The organization is composed of townspeople (TOWN), military personnel (āNā for national defense forces), and university personnel (GOWN). Town-N-Gown, by presenting programs and organizing joint activities, offers its members the opportunity to increase their awareness of and appreciation for the total community with its many assets.
